Work from home jobs are all the rage these days.
A recent study by FlexJobs found the number of remote workers or telecommuting by employees in the U.S has grown by 115% in the past ten years.
But finding legitimate work-at-home jobs can be tough.
Christine Durst, co-founder and principal of Staffcentrix LLC says there are 60 scams for every real work-at-home job.
A work-at-home scam often lured the victim with an offer to be employed at home, doing a simple task that only takes a minimal amount of time with the promise of a large amount of income in return.
The true intention of the scammer is often to extort money from the victim by charging a fee to join the scheme or by claiming to help find jobs.
Some require the purchase of software, startup kits or equipment to get started.
While there can be legitimate reasons for that, if it’s not clear what and why you’re buying and from whom, it should be a red flag.
Other online job scams charge a big fee for a background check before considering an applicant. So if that’s the case, look elsewhere!
But don’t let these scare you!
To help you find the right job and avoid getting scammed, I’ve compiled a list of the best work from home jobs that not only real buy pay well too.
